Job Description:

In a Distribution Center environment, the Warehouse Order Picker's flexible roles are designed to uphold the objective of processing Inbound and/or Outbound freight accurately, timely, and safely. Their ability to perform multiple tasks makes them an integral component of the Center's mission.

Major Activities:

• The Distribution Center performs various functions that relate to fulfilling orders for retail stores and other Distribution Centers. The assignments can include Receiving, Labeling, Putaway, Order Picking, Slotting, Replenishment, eComm order fulfillment, Hybrid throwing, Loading, and specialized roles such as Inventory Control that require extra experience. The completion of the assigned tasks may involve manual or powered industrial equipment and RF guns.
• Establish a production log that documents all adjustments made to assignments, all instances of downtime, and all scheduled and unscheduled meetings to guarantee precise productivity records.
• Executes supplementary responsibilities as per the requirements of the company.

Preferred Education:

• The job requires a high school diploma or the equivalent

The Experience that the Job of Your Dreams Requires

• Knowledge of operating manual and/or powered industrial equipment is a preferred qualification
• This position calls for candidates with basic warehouse or distribution center knowledge, and prior experience in a manufacturing environment will be beneficial

Physical Requirements:

• Continuously carrying and relocating items with a weight range of 5 to 60 pounds
• Frequent need to move objects by means of pushing or pulling
• Continuous standing when using industrial machinery and while operating power-driven vehicles
• Regularly engaging in the activity of walking, predominantly within the warehouse area
• Consistently engaging in movements such as reaching, stooping, and twisting for physical wellness
• Recurring activity involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers that can result in injury or discomfort

Work Environment:

• Depending on the weather conditions and the proximity to dock doors and exits, individuals may experience varying degrees of temperature extremes
• The noise level produced by the conveyor/sortation system and powered industrial equipment falls in the moderate range
• Occasional shaking or vibration may occur when utilizing powered industrial equipment
• Possibility of coming into contact with noxious fumes and particles suspended in the air
