Job Description:

Processing Inbound and/or Outbound freight in a Distribution Center environment involves multifaceted roles, which the Distribution Center Loader plays. Through their performance, they guarantee timely, accurate, and safe processing of freight, contributing to the fulfillment of the Center's objective.

Major Activities:

• In the Distribution Center, various functions are carried out to fulfill the orders for retail stores and other Distribution Centers that involve Receiving, Labeling, Putaway, Order Picking, Slotting, Replenishment, eComm order fulfillment, Hybrid throwing, Loading, and specialty roles like Inventory Control that require extra training. The completion of the assigned tasks may involve the utilization of manual or powered industrial machinery and RF guns.
• Keep a production log that registers any changes made to assignments, unscheduled interruptions to work, and any meetings held in order to preserve the authenticity of productivity records.
• Follows through on other duties given by the business as required.

• Basic computer skills for certain roles

• In the modern work environment, it is necessary to possess the ability to work independently while still being a team player
• Nurses, doctors and other healthcare providers need to be proficient in basic math to calculate medication dosages and rates of medication administration
• Certain professions require meticulous record-keeping abilities and a sharp eye for detail
• Developing strong interpersonal skills can also lead to greater job satisfaction and career success, as individuals are better able to network, collaborate, and negotiate

Preferred Education:

• Applicants who have completed high school or an equivalent program are preferred

Job Experience Needed:

• Experience with either manual or powered industrial equipment would be an advantage
• Those with prior experience working in production facilities may find this position more accessible, as it requires familiarity with warehouse and distribution center operations

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly carrying and moving items that have a weight range of 5 to 60 pounds
• Regular movement of equipment or goods through pushing or pulling
• Standing repeatedly required when working with industrial equipment and while driving
• Spending a significant amount of time walking, primarily within the walls of the warehouse
• Engaging in everyday movements such as stooping, stretching, and twisting to remain physically active
• Substantial, cyclical activity of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

Work Environment:

• Given external environmental conditions and their location in relation to dock doors or exits, people may experience varying levels of temperature extremes
• The noise level coming from the DC conveyor/sortation system and powered industrial equipment can be characterized as moderate
• The use of powered industrial equipment may lead to sporadic vibrations
• Risk of inhaling dangerous fumes and airborne debris
