To achieve the mission of processing Inbound and/or Outbound freight accurately, safely, and swiftly, the Warehouse Operator may take on diverse responsibilities within the Distribution Center environment.

Major Activities:

The fulfillment of different order types within a retail environment requires an intricate web of logistics and operational processes. This includes managing the flow of items from suppliers to warehouses and distribution centers, before finally reaching the customer. As such, the Distribution Center may be responsible for various aspects of the supply chain to ensure timely delivery of products.

Accurately maintain a production log that highlights changes in work assignments, delays caused by equipment or system failures, as well as meetings and other activities.

Carries out any other tasks assigned as per the needs of the organization.

• Mathematical literacy is an essential skill for success in various professions. Individuals in fields such as science, engineering, and accounting, require advanced math. However certain roles, such as those in retail or administrative staff, require basic math skills

• A preference is given to candidates who have prior exposure to utilizing manual and/or powered industrial equipment
• If you have previously worked in a production environment and achieved success, those skills can be easily translated to benefit you in a warehouse or distribution center setting

Physical Requirements

• Consistently moving and holding products that weigh between 5 and 60 pounds
• Regular exertion of energy to push or pull objects
• Regular standing during operation of powered industrial equipment in the workplace
• Consistent walking, largely inside the warehouse
• Frequently recurring movements of extending, curving, crouching, cowering, and spinning
• Prolonged motion and significant strain on the fingers, wrists, or hands

Work Environment

• The degree of exposure to extreme temperatures influenced by the location of the work area in relation to the dock doors and outdoor climate
• A moderate amount of noise emanating from DC conveyor/sortation equipment and powered industrial machinery
• When using powered equipment, there may be instances where you experience some mild vibration
• There is a likelihood of being exposed to dangerous particles and fumes
