Job Description:

Efforts to process freight accurately, on time, and safely in a Distribution Center environment is heavily dependent on the role fulfillment of the Distribution Material Handler. Through their diverse functions, they contribute immensely towards achieving the Center's objectives.

Major Activities:

• The Distribution Center encompasses a wide variety of tasks that are associated with fulfilling orders for retail stores and other Distribution Centers. Potential work assignments may include Receiving, Labeling, Putaway, Order Picking, Slotting, Replenishment, eComm order fulfillment, Hybrid throwing, Loading, and specialized roles such as Inventory Control that require extra experience. Manual or powered industrial equipment and RF guns might be utilized for these tasks.
• Create a production log that documents all modifications to work assignments, unplanned events like downtime, and all meetings, to monitor productivity effectively and guarantee that records stay precise.

• Works on other tasks as directed by the company to fulfill their requirements.

Preferred Education:

• Individuals with a high school degree or its comparable are strongly preferred

What Kind of Experience the Job Expects:

• Preferred candidates should have a background using manual and/or powered industrial equipment
• Those with prior experience working in production facilities may find this position more accessible, as it requires familiarity with warehouse and distribution center operations

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly carrying and moving items that have a weight range of 5 to 60 pounds
• Consistent exertion of force when moving equipment or materials
• Frequently standing required during the operation of industrial vehicles and tasks at hand
• Constantly on the move, with a majority of the movement involving walking within the warehouse
• Performing common activities like reaching, stooping, twisting, and kneeling regularly
• Frequent, repeated movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

Work Environment:

• The degree of exposure to severe temperatures is reliant on external weather conditions and the distance between individuals and dock doors or exits
• The noise generated by the conveyor/sortation system and powered industrial equipment is of a moderate level
• Vibrations can occur intermittently when you are using powered industrial equipment
• Danger of breathing in toxic fumes and suspended particles
