Job Description:

Efforts to process freight accurately, on time, and safely in a Distribution Center environment is heavily dependent on the role fulfillment of the Warehouse Slotting Associate. Through their diverse functions, they contribute immensely towards achieving the Center's objectives.

Major Activities

• The Distribution Center operates to fulfill orders made for retail stores and other Distribution Centers. The tasks assigned to employees can include Receiving, Labeling, Putaway, Order Picking, Slotting, Replenishment, eComm order fulfillment, Hybrid throwing, Loading, and specialty roles like Inventory Control that need additional training. The utilization of manual or powered industrial machinery and RF guns might be essential for accomplishing the assigned tasks.
• Keep a production log that registers any changes made to assignments, unscheduled interruptions to work, and any meetings held in order to preserve the authenticity of productivity records.
• Complies with other assigned responsibilities to meet business requirements.

Preferred Education:

Preferred Type of Experience the Job Requires:

• Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is advantageous for this role, which involves basic knowledge of warehouse and distribution center operations

Physical Requirements:

• The act of regularly transporting items with a weight ranging from 5 to 60 pounds
• Habitual pushing and pulling of equipment and materials
• Frequently standing required during the operation of industrial vehicles and tasks at hand
• Regularly traversing the warehouse through frequent walking endeavors
• Regularly involving oneself in activities that necessitate bending, crouching, and twisting
• Persistent movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers over a period of time

Work Environment:

• Depending on the weather conditions and the proximity to dock doors and exits, individuals may experience varying degrees of temperature extremes
• The DC conveyor/sortation system and powered industrial equipment typically generate a moderate amount of noise
• Vibrations could happen from time to time when using powered industrial machinery
• Danger of breathing in poisonous fumes and floating particles
