The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in the Distribution Center by carrying out various duties to ensure that the overall objective of processing Inbound and/or Outbound freight accurately and safely is accomplished.

Major Activities:

The Distribution Center performs a range of different tasks associated with fulfilling orders for retail stores and other Distribution Centers. These functions include Receiving, Labeling, Putaway, Order Picking, Slotting, Replenishment, eComm order fulfillment, Hybrid throwing, Loading, and other specialized roles, such as Inventory Control, that require additional training and experience. The use of manual and/or powered industrial equipment and RF guns may be necessary to carry out these work tasks effectively.

Keep a detailed record of tasks, delays, meetings, and other events to guarantee that production logs accurately reflect performance.

Executes additional responsibilities as required to meet the demands of the business.

• It is desirable for candidates to have completed high school or an equivalent program

• Having previous experience with manual and/or powered industrial equipment is highly desirable
• While it is not mandatory, having a basic understanding of warehouse and/or distribution center operations can be immensely useful

Physical Requirements

• Regularly transporting items that range in weight from 5 to 60 pounds
• Repeated application of force to move materials or equipment
• Consistent standing while operating machinery and carrying out work duties
• Regularly strolling, mostly in the stockroom area
• Continual stretching, flexing, bending, squatting, and rotating
• Continuous repetition of hand, wrist, or finger movements

Work Environment

• The impact of weather and distance from dock doors on the extent of exposure to extreme temperatures
• Reasonable sound levels of DC conveyor and sortation equipment, as well as industrial machinery
• From time to time, there might be a slight rumble or shaking when using heavy machinery and industrial tools
• Exposure to noxious fumes and airborne particles poses a possible risk
