The Warehouse Receiving Associate serves a critical role in the Distribution Center by performing various responsibilities that support the core objective of accurately, timely, and safely processing Inbound and/or Outbound freight.

Major Activities:

Loading is a critical function in the Distribution Center as this involves preparing products for transport to various locations. The use of equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and other specialized tools may be necessary to execute this task efficiently.

Keep a comprehensive production log to record all changes in assignments, downtimes, and meetings, so that productivity records remain accurate and up-to-date.

Takes on extra responsibilities as per the business requirements.

Basic computer skills for certain roles.

• The proficiency to work alone or in group dynamics to achieve a desired outcome
• Entry-level positions in sectors such as retail, hospitality, or healthcare require possessing basic math skills. Basic arithmetic, understanding fractions and decimals, conversions, and measurements are all imperative skills for working in these industries
• Certain job roles necessitate proficiency in maintaining accurate records, with a focus on attention to detail
• Additionally, practicing active listening, expressing yourself clearly and respectfully, and cultivating empathy can all contribute to stronger communication and interpersonal skills

• What Kind of Professional Experience is Required for the Job
• Preference is given to those who possess prior experience with operating manual and/or powered industrial equipment
• Demonstrated success in a production setting could translate to triumphs in a warehouse or distribution center role

Physical Requirements:

• Constantly carrying products in the range of 5 to 60 pounds
• Consistent use of energy to move materials or equipment
• Steady standing demand during operation of industrial equipment and performing work duties
• Periodic promenading, predominantly in the storage area
• Repeated physical actions that include stretching, flexing, leaning, stooping, and spinning
• Repeated utilization of the hands, fingers, or wrists

Work Environment:

• The extent of exposure to extreme temperatures in the workplace is determined by factors such as distance from exits and outdoor weather conditions
• DC conveyor/sortation machines and powered industrial equipment make a tolerable amount of noise
• When utilizing industrial machinery, there may be instances where you feel minimal vibration
• There is a possibility of encountering hazardous fumes and airborne particles
